Perched high on a bluff above Hood Canal, this weekend cabin boasts sweeping views of the Hood Canal & the Olympics. Jim and his crew have worked with the owners to develop this breathtaking site through several phases.

First, landscaping and driveway improvements were made immediately around the cabin. High Cascade granite boulders set a ruggedly tasteful tone, and mingle beautifully with the naturalistic mixed border plantings.

The next phase expanded the usable outdoor area with this dramatically sited deck, and made major improvements to the beach path. The crushed rock path now meanders through a wildflower meadow and crosses over a streambed, on a cedar slab bridge.

This summer, the clients were faced with the challenge of hosting events for a wedding. They decided to add this large bluestone patio, set into the lawn above their seawall. It is complemented by more intimate seating areas at each end of the lawn.
